Last updated: September 2026 — I’ll keep this current as my routine changes.

I get asked a lot what I actually use, so here it all is in one place, morning and evening. Nothing here is sponsored — these are just the products currently on my bathroom shelf, plus a couple of long-time favourites I still reach for.

Morning

Curél Foaming Facial Wash is where my morning starts — gentle enough for sensitive skin and it doesn’t leave that tight, stripped feeling some cleansers do.

Next is a homemade rosewater and glycerine toner to balance my skin’s pH before anything else goes on. Simple, effective and you can make this at home with just a few ingredients.

For hydration and to help increase absorbtion of serums, I use Beauty of Joseon’s Ginseng Essence Water. It’s light, layers well, and has become one of those quiet staples I don’t think about — I just reach for it.

Then Beauty of Joseon’s Light On Serum — a gentle centella serum, which brightens skin and sbsorbs quickly.

I add a touch of Volufiline serum around the lines by my nose and on my cheekbones for a bit of a plumping effect. It’s very light and doesn’t pill.

I finish with either Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + SPF50 or Curél’s face cream, depending on how my skin feels it needs.

On drier days I’ll layer La Roche-Posay’s Cicaplast Baume B5+ (“the Cica cream”) on areas that look dry or feel taught. I found this one last winter.

Evening

In the evening my focus is on more hydration.

After the rosewater, I swich to the Curel restorative aging care plumping essence for even more hydration, before I use La Roche-Posay’s Mela B3 Serum, brought in specifically to target some stubborn age spots. I’ve written the full story of why I switched, including the reason for the switch.

I’m currently using Beauty of Joseon’s Dynasty Cream as my night moisturiser, then I add Beauty of Joseon’s Revive Eye Serum over the top on my eyes and face.

Eye care

if you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know that I had cataract surgery so I am especially careful to find eye products that are especially made for sensitive eyes, I discovered the IUNIK Propolis Vitamin eye cream to use after surgery as I needed a completely new product to make sure it was fresh. I’ve been using The Ordinary eye serum which has peptides. This one is so good but you have to put it around the eye area, under eye and keep away from getting it in your eyes. It’s does the most amazing job of reducing puffiness and dark circles. Almost to the point that I don’t feel the need to use any concealer.

Extras

NEOM’s Great Day Wonder Balm isn’t skincare exactly, but it’s part of my routine most days regardless. A dab on the pulse points and it genuinely does what it says on the tin.

Still Love (Just Not Daily Any More)

Beauty of Joseon’s Glow Serum was my first serum love and the one that got me properly into this brand. I don’t reach for it every day now, but it’s still a serum I’d recommend without hesitation.

The Calming Serum from the same range is worth a mention too — a good option if your skin ever needs a break from actives.

I don’t have photos of every product yet — I’ll add them as I take them. I’ll also keep updating this page as things change; if a product drops out of my routine, it drops off this list too.
